Update: the fire tower remains closed.

Glastenbury fire tower is closed to public use as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has recently deemed the tower structurally unsafe.

Hikers should avoid climbing the tower. The Appalachian Trail (A.T.) and side trails in the area remain open.
