The Fox Creek Bridge (NOBO mile 512.3) is being replaced. Contractors already have equipment and materials nearby to begin the project, and demolition of the current bridge is planned to begin in the next two weeks.
While the old bridge is being removed and a new bridge built, there will be a temporary Trail detour in place. Hikers should plan to follow the detour, follow instructions from crew members and signs, and stay out of the immediate construction zone.
