The Perry County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public about a man who may be camping on the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) in the Duncannon area/near the Susquehanna River (NOBO miles 1,150.0/1,151.8) and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Barry Bostwick, 60, failed to appear for sentencing, and there is now a felony warrant for his arrest.

If you have any information that could help authorities, please call the Perry County Sheriff’s Office at 717-582-5123 or the Pennsylvania State Police Newport Barracks at 717-567-3110.

Hikers in the area should exercise extreme caution and not engage with Bostwick if they come across him. In any emergency, including threats to your personal safety, always call 911.
