The ATC and National Park Service received a report of vehicle vandalism at the Springer Mountain Parking lot. The incident occurred sometime between June 30 and July 2. A vehicle was broken into and items stolen. The incident has been reported to local authorities.

Visitors should never leave valuables in their vehicles at trailheads and always lock unattended vehicles while hiking.

Any vehicle break-in should be reported to local law enforcement. You can also report trailhead break-ins to the ATC and National Park Service law enforcement using our Incident Report Form at appalachiantrail.org/incidents.
