Sylvia Staples is a 31-year-old native of Roanoke, AL. Sylvia received her Associate’s Degree in Science from Southern Union State Community College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Forest Management from Alabama A&M, and her Masters in Justice Administration from the University of the Cumberlands. She is employed by the USDA Forest Service as a Regional Recruiter and Wildland Firefighter based in the Regional Office in Atlanta, GA. She has been with the agency for 9 years where she began her career as a District Forester on the Daniel Boone National Forest. Sylvia has a wide range of experience in HR, Forestry, Recreation, Wildlife, Fire, and Student Programs.
