Ryan Smith, of West Peabody, Mass., is the communications manager for the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests and the owner of Rooted in Light Media, a New England-based communications firm specializing in photography, video, writing, and graphic design. Ryan worked for the Appalachian Mountain Club for ten years in a variety of positions including the managing editor ofAMC Outdoors magazine. He also served on the Randolph Mountain Club’s board where he was the Regional Partnership Committee member for the organization.
