Karen Cronin
Chief Financial and Administrative Officer
Karen serves as the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer and is responsible for oversight of the Finance Office, Human Resources and Information Technology. She is a seasoned financial professional with extensive leadership experience in strongly mission-driven organizations. Over her professional career, she has built an expertise in financial planning and analysis and providing decision support to the management team and board.
Before joining the ATC, Karen served as Chief Financial Officer at Eleutherian Mills-Hagley Foundation where she developed practices that best leveraged financial resources with the core values and strategies of the organization. Previously to that, she was a Business Officer at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine’s New Bolton Center where she supported the research and teaching efforts of 235 faculty and staff.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from Widener University and a Master of Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, with a concentration in Environmental Policy.
Karen grew up and resides in Pennsylvania close to her three children and extended family. She is a lifelong outdoors enthusiast and feels a strong connection to the natural world. She spends her leisure time gardening and hiking. She has hiked the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Virginia, and West Virginia.
