Jason Kindinger

Jason grew up in Southern Ohio at the confluence of the Scioto and Ohio Rivers and spent much of his youth exploring nearby Shawnee State Park and Forest. He attended college at The Ohio State University where he earned a B.A. in Geography with a minor in GIS. In addition to his studies at The Ohio State University; he also attended archaeological field school at Hocking College and has spent much of his career in cultural resource management.
As an archaeologist and GIS technician, Jason has worked in twenty states, doing everything from mapping and documenting wagon ruts associated with the Oregon Trail in Idaho and Oregon to leading archaeological surveys in Jefferson National Forest and the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia. Other career highlights include working on cultural resource surveys in remote areas such as the Black Hills National Forest in Wyoming and Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia. Jason has also contributed to numerous cultural resource mitigation projects across the continental United States.
