Emilee Hackney is a 2022 AT thru-hiker and writer from Tazewell, Virginia. Growing up in the coalfields gave Emilee a special interest in land conservation, as well as a love for the unique beauty of the Appalachian mountains. She holds a BA in English from Harvard University.
