Conner McBane
Senior Natural Resource and Land Stewardship Manager, Virginia

Conner is based out of the Virginia Regional Office in Roanoke, VA. He grew up near the Virginia Triple Crown in Botetourt County spending much of his early years outdoors hiking on the A.T. or fishing on the James River. He attended Roanoke College and received a B.S. in Environment Studies.
As the Senior Natural Resource Manager, he is in charge of early-successional habitat management, non-native invasive species monitoring and management, spruce restoration, and meeting habitat objectives for sensitive, threatened, and endangered species along the Appalachian Trail in Virginia.
Conner has worked at ATC for 10 years in the natural resource management field. He also supports the saw program as a C-Sawyer, the hazard tree management program, and the boundary monitoring program for Virginia.
If he’s not doing field work, you might find him wrangling his three kids on a fun mountain adventure.
