Brendan Mysliwiec
Director of Federal Policy and Legislation
As Director of Federal Policy and Legislation, Brendan is in charge of leading ATC’s federal advocacy in DC, making sure decision-makers in Congress and in the Administration understand the ecologies, communities, and priorities of the AT and the Trail Corridor.
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Brendan has spent significant portions of his life not too far from the trail in Maine, Massachusetts, and now Washington, DC. Prior to joining the ATC, he worked on public lands, energy, and water issues at American Rivers following a stint in the U.S. Senate working on the Committee on Indian Affairs for Senator Jon Tester (MT).
Brendan has a B.A. from Kenyon College and an M.P.A. and J.D. from the Ohio State University. He is an active member of the Native American Bar Association of DC as well as the Northfield Mount Hermon School Alumni Council. Brendan is often to be found engaged in conversation, reading, or seeking out new sour beers.
