Anne Merrill

Associate Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Membership

Anne Merrill has more than 20 years of experience helping nonprofit organizations accomplish their fundraising and communications goals. Before joining the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, Anne worked for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum for over a decade, where she had various roles in the marketing and education departments. Prior to the Museum, Anne worked in advancement communications for Georgetown University and Boston College.

Most of Anne’s hiking experiences have been in the Adirondack Mountains in New York and the Laurel Highlands in western Pennsylvania where she grew up. Anne fondly remembers hiking the Presidential Range in the White Mountains National Forest as a teenager with her family.

Anne has a BA in English from Yale University and a MA in French Literature from Boston College.
