Amber Millison

Amber is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Geoenvironmental Studies at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. She is working with Shippensburg’s Center for Land Use and Sustainability to develop maps and other GIS products for the Natural Resource Condition Assessment (NRCA) of the Appalachian Trail. Born in Frederick, Maryland, she graduated from Salisbury University in May of 2020 with a double major in Earth Science and Geography, concentrating in Atmospheric Sciences. Amber is passionate about mitigating human impacts on climate change and hopes to spend her career encouraging individual action and conscious consumption. In her free time, Amber enjoys hiking with her dog, crocheting, and visiting new cities and places. Amber hopes to eventually section hike the entire Appalachian Trail.
