More than trendy dances: the Appalachian Trail Conservancy adopts TikTok to inspire the next generation of A.T. supporters

iPhone featuring the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and TikTok logosThe Appalachian Trail Conservancy is now on TikTok! You can find and follow @appalachiantrail for short videos that showcase the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine and the work of the ATC as we carry out our mission to protect, manage, and advocate for the Trail. As the fastest growing social media platform in the world with the majority of its users between ages 16-34, TikTok presents an opportunity to reach new audiences and inspire the next generation of Trail supporters.

TikTok is a platform where people seek out content that is fun and authentic. By fully embracing the tone of the platform, the ATC aims to inspire younger people to give back and find a deeper sense of belonging, community, and connection to the Trail. Continuing to innovate and find new and engaging ways to tell stories of the Trail and the people who care for it will always be at the heart of our work at the ATC. TikTok is another way to help us do just that.
