Devon Lespier

Devon Lespier is a research assistant for Energy and Environment Policy at the Center for American Progress, where she advocates for policies fostering sustainable, resilient communities and a just transition to clean energy. Previously, she interned in the U.S. House of Representatives, later taking on the role of intern coordinator in her office. In 2021, Devon collaborated with Columbia World Projects on a sustainability and disaster preparedness initiative in the Dominican Republic. She holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and political science, along with a certificate in Emergency Management from Florida State University. During her undergraduate education, she co-founded Monaco’s Warriors, a Florida-based nonprofit dedicated to veteran suicide prevention. An outdoor enthusiast with a passion for preserving America’s natural landscapes, Devon holds a special appreciation for the Appalachian Trail and the meaningful experiences it has provided her.
