Ryan Seltzer

Natural Resource & Land Stewardship Manager

Ryan joined the ATC in 2014 with a background in natural resources management. He attended James Madison University, in the heart of the Shenandoah Mountains, where his passion for the Appalachian Trail began. In 2009 he completed a three-part flip flop thru-hike.

Ryan now manages the Appalachian Trail Corridor Stewardship Program in the Mid-Atlantic region. The Trail corridor averages 1,000 feet in width and provides permanent protection for the Trail. This public investment is home to numerous threatened and endangered species, unique and rare habitats, and breathtaking vistas. Volunteers in this program provide critical monitoring of the corridor lands, ensuring protection of the resources for generations to come.
