Dunleavy Foundation $5 Million Gift Accelerates Appalachian Trail Landscape Protection
Transformational gift to significantly increase local conservation and resiliency efforts through the ATC’s Wild East Action Fund.
The Wild East Action Fund is a grant program designed to support partner projects that accelerate the pace and scale of conservation across the Appalachian Trail landscape.
Through grants supporting local conservation projects in the 14 states that the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) traverses, the Wild East Action Fund is safeguarding the connectivity, health, and resilience of the iconic A.T. landscape.
Since 2018, the Wild East Action Fund has supported a variety of land protection, conservation planning, capacity building, and community resilience projects.

This competitive funding opportunity is available to any nonprofit partner, public agency, or regional conservation collaborative that aligns with mission and vision of Appalachian Trail Landscape Partnership (ATLP).
