The U.S. Forest Service is closing the Lincoln Woods Trail for several weeks this month and again from June to November to conduct repair work on the trail. The Lincoln Woods Trail is part of the popular "Pemi Loop," a ~30 mile route that uses several trails, including the Appalachian Trail (A.T.), to go around and through the Pemigewasset Wilderness in the White Mountains. The Lincoln Woods Trail does not directly connect to the A.T. but can be used as a southern access point for backpackers and section hikers.
