Jay William Neilson has been reported missing to the Belton, MO police deparment and is believed to be on the Appalachian Trail (A.T.). Neilson is a 55-year-old white man, standing approximately 5'10" tall and weighing 130 pounds. He has dark brown, shaggy, shoulder-length hair. See the photos below.

Jay was last heard from via text on 06/25/2026 and was camping at Crampton Gap Shelter (NOBO mile 1,037.6).
