Our Team

Violet grew up on the Northern Neck of Virginia along the Chesapeake Bay, where she developed a strong love for the water and all its marine life. After graduating from high school, she studied marine biology at Bridgewater College in the Blue Ridge Mountains. That first year away from home instilled a great love for the mountains as well.

Throughout the years, Violet has traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. Her proudest achievement was the two weeks she spent in Thailand adopting her beautiful daughter, Shelby. While raising her daughter, she built a profitable business from the ground up and completed her bachelor's degree at Old Dominion University — this time not in marine biology, but in Business Administration.

In a true full-circle moment, Violet reconnected after 36 years with her college boyfriend from Bridgewater College, Keith. They are now happily married and living in the Blue Ridge Mountains. In her free time, Violet enjoys day hikes in the mountains, antiquing, and attending live music events.
