Tom Bieber retired from State Street Corporation after a 32-year career as a financial services executive. Tom led organizations in banking operations and investment servicing with more than 3,200 professionals across 12 international locations. He has extensive experience in organizational leadership, risk management, strategic planning, financial oversight, and investment management.
Tom served as an ATC Board Observer from 2024 to 2026, participating on the Sustain, Investment, and Land Committees. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Boxborough Conservation Trust in Massachusetts from 2015 to 2025, including six years as Treasurer. Tom’s nonprofit leadership complements his executive experience and reflects a longstanding commitment to conservation, stewardship, and sound governance.
Tom completed northbound thru-hikes of the Long Trail in 2017 and the Appalachian Trail in 2018, earning the trail name “Detail”.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences and an M.B.A., with a concentration in Financial Control, from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
