Paul Wang

Next Generation Advisory Council Member

Paul Wang is an avid fisherman, occasional hiker, and student at Bowdoin College studying biology, environmental studies, and economics.

Having grown up in a small apartment in The Bronx, NY, Paul’s interest in the outdoors has grown throughout his time in college exploring Maine, as well as through his lifelong interest in fishing–from catching eels in the Hudson River, striped bass in the Long Island Sound, and now brook trout and landlocked salmon in the shade of Mt. Katahdin (the A.T.’s northernmost point).

As an intern at The Nature Conservancy, Paul has worked to integrate equity and accessibility to conserved lands in Maine, and as a researcher at The World Wildlife Fund he has worked to preserve aquatic and marine habitats through strategic investment advancing social responsibility, development, and conservation in projects in West Africa and South America.

He is honored to join the team at Next Gen and contribute to an accessible and resilient future for the A.T. and its surrounding communities.
