Michelle Presley

Communications Manager

Michelle was born and raised in Tampa, Florida and fostered a love of the outdoors in the scrubby flatwoods, springs, and mangrove tunnels along Florida’s Gulf Coast. In 2017, Michelle built out a Ford E-350 cargo van and spent four months living on the road, exploring public lands across the United States and Canada with her husband, Troy, and her dogs, Chewy and June Bug.

Michelle earned her B.A. in English Literature in 2014, and her M.A. in Public Interest Media and Communication in 2020, both from Florida State University. Prior to joining the ATC, Michelle served in communications and public relations roles for higher education and governmental institutions. Michelle currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia, where she takes advantage of her proximity to the A.T. and the other parks and trails across the Southeast. When she’s not on the trail, you can usually find her reading, writing, training for her next race, or looking for somewhere cool to swim.
