Brianna Johnson

Next Generation Advisory Council Member

Brianna is currently a third year student at Cornell University studying Microbiology. She grew up in rural Pennsylvania and had her first backpacking experience on the PA AT. She started conservation work in high school with the Student Conservation Association in Tuskegee National Forest, Alabama (the smallest and youngest NF!) and fell in love. Since then, she has spent time volunteering on an organic farm in Hawai’i and researching the effects of anthropogenic stress on birds. At Cornell, she leads backpacking and bikepacking trips with the Outing Club and Outdoor Ed. In her free time she loves playing soccer and basketball, learning languages, and exploring scenic Upstate NY. She is very excited to be part of the Next Generation Advisory Council!
