Along the Housatonic River in Falls Village, CT

Trail Description
This was the first Appalachian Trail (A.T.) project, undertaken by ATC and the Connecticut Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club in 2000, to provide wheelchair access along a portion of the A.T. The project involved the construction of a loop trail, a portion of which serves as the Appalachian Trail, along the banks of the Housatonic River. The wheelchair-accessible section is a dirt and gravel section of the Trail. The following description details mileage as heading south from the parking area on the A.T. first, then looping back.
Total round-trip length: 1.1 miles (the first 0.5 mile is wheelchair accessible)
