Update: Construction on Ledyard Bridge (NOBO mile 1,755.5) is underway. The Appalachian Trail across the bridge remains open to hikers and safety controls are in place in the construction zone. Hikers crossing the bridge should follow all directions from posted signs and NHDOT personnel.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) plans to conduct preservation work this summer on Ledyard Bridge, which spans the Connecticut River between Norwich, VT, and Hanover, NH (NOBO mile 1,755.5). The Appalachian Trail (A.T.) on the bridge will remain open and there will be pedestrian traffic and safety controls in place in the construction zone. Hikers crossing the bridge should follow all directions from posted signs and NHDOT personnel.
Initial construction is planned to begin as early as April. We will update this notice when we have more information.
