Trail Updates

Starting in mid-February, Eversource Energy will be working along the powerlines that cross the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) in the Kinsman Range (NOBO mile 1,815.9; three miles south of the summit of South Kinsman Mountain). The operation will involve helicopter and heavy machinery.

Hikers should be prepared for delays and follow all instructions from posted signs and crews.

The work is expected to last three weeks and crews will be working six days a week, pending weather. For more information, visit the Eversource project page.
