Through the fall of this year, the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) in the vicinity of the James River/US-501, Hercules Road, and Johns Hollow Shelter (NOBO miles 787.4 to 789.3) will be impacted by construction activity related to electric transmission line improvements. A.T. visitors and hikers may hear noise from vehicles and equipment in the vicinity. The Little Rocky Row Run Trail and Matts Creek Trail will also be impacted.
