Kylie Yang joined the Continental Divide Trail Coalition as the Field Programs Manager in 2021. Kylie grew up in southeastern Virginia, where she frequented Shenandoah National Park and fell in love with the Appalachian Trail. In 2015, Kylie completed an Appalachian Trail thru-hike. She returned to her beloved Appalachian Trail in 2018 where she spent two seasons working as an Appalachian Trail Ridgerunner, focusing on stewardship and Leave No Trace education. From there, she went to work for the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference as the New Jersey Program Coordinator, and developed a passion for working with Volunteers and Land Managers. Kylie continues to advocate for responsible stewardship and Leave No Trace principles, and when not working, you can find Kylie hiking with her Vizsla, Sullivan, or at a local vegan restaurant.
