Julie Judkins

Director of Education and Outreach

Remaining relevant for future generations is vital to keeping the Appalachian Trail and all its natural and cultural treasures protected. As the Director of Education and Outreach, Julie is responsible for developing and directing the ATC’s broader relevancy initiatives to ensure programs, staff and partners reflect, invite and welcome all to the Trail.

Julie has been with ATC since 2004. Prior to ATC, Julie served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Armenia, and also worked with Hurricane Island Outward Bound in Key Largo, an at-risk program for youth. She has a BA in Communications from North Carolina State University and a Masters of Environmental Management through Duke’s Environmental Leadership program at the Nicholas School of Environment.
