Daniel Howe

Daniel Howe is a 1979 A.T. thru-hiker and thru-biker of the Blue Ridge Parkway. He retired 2014 as Assistant City Manager of the City of Raleigh, North Carolina after a 29-year career in that growing city. Dan is currently an adjunct professor of landscape architecture at North Carolina State University, where he earned his master’s in that field. He holds an undergraduate degree from the School of Architecture, Urban and Environmental Planning program at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, and continues to operate a planning and writing consulting practice in Raleigh.
