Christen McNamara Watts is the GIS Manager for the City of Asheville and teaches GIS for the Lenoir-Rhyne University Master’s in Sustainability program. Christen’s work in GIS for Equity & Social Justice has been recognized nationally and won the 2019 Herbert G. Stout award for Visionary Use of GIS for a City. When not working, you can usually find Christen rafting our wonderful rivers or on a greenway with her husband Alan.
