Next Generation Advisory Council Member
Jake is currently a second-year environmental science student at the University of Vermont. He also leads hiking, backpacking, and canoeing trips for the University’s Outing Club. Through the Outing Club he became a Wilderness First Responder and American Canoe Association Instructor. Jake was first exposed to the outdoors through his participation in Boy Scouts where he earned the rank of Eagle. While not initially an outdoor enthusiast, spending time outside became his passion after a week long canoe trip through the Adirondacks. Since then, he has hiked extensively in New York and New Jersey including the majority of the Appalachian Trail through these states. A peak bagger at heart, Jake is always looking forward to his next summit.
