Join the Nantahala Hiking Club for one of their weekly Wednesday Work Hikes on June 12 from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. and spend the day performing essential trail maintenance tasks alongside experienced A.T. volunteers.
The day will include clearing out erosion control structures, cutting back overgrown vegetation on the sides of the Trail along with fallen trees, and enjoying a hike on the Appalachian Trail.
Please be sure to wear long pants, and sturdy boots. Bring work gloves, plenty of water and snacks, a lunch, sunscreen, bug spray, and a rain jacket.
