Work alongside the Keystone Trails Association's A.T. Maintaining Committee maintainers as they perform the work necessary to keep the Appalachian Trail thriving. Work will vary, but no experience is need! This is the perfect chance to learn about what it takes to be a trail maintainer.
Meet at 9 am, at Lehigh Gap East A.T. parking lot, on Route 248, just past the junction with Route 145. We will do routine trail maintenance on the A.T. north of Lehigh Gap and on the winter trail. Wear work clothes, bring gloves, lunch, snacks, and water, and other clothing appropriate for the weather. Sturdy boots are a must! If you have a shovel, loppers, hedge trimmers, etc., please bring them. Otherwise, we have tools for you to use.
