Join the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club on Saturday July 14 as they work in the Nantahala National Forest to relocate a steep section of the A.T. to a location that is more sustainable for the long-term. The work day will take place alongside the Konnarock Trail Crew. This crew is typically made up of volunteers from across the country and often includes members of other trail associations. Spend a rewarding day alongside devoted A.T. volunteers to make a difference.
Participants should wear sturdy boots, long pants, and work gloves. Participants should bring lunch, water, a rain jacket, and sun protection. Tools, supplies, and training will be provided. The hike to the worksite will be strenuous.
Please fill out this form to register your participation. Your participation will not be confirmed until a trip leader contacts you directly with the meeting location.
