Join us at the Appalachian Trail Community Designation Ceremony at Bear’s Den. Bluemont will be designated as the 54th Appalachian Trail Community and the 18th town in Virginia to receive this honor. Located just 150 yards from the Appalachian Trail, Bear’s Den is in the middle of the Roller Coaster section, a 13.5-mile up-and-down rocky path that offers challenging hiking, scenic overlooks, and bubbling mountain stream crossings.
