A virtual experience with participation centered on young people aged 14-35 but open to all. Intergenerational collaboration and exchanges will enhance the experience, and people of all ages are welcome to participate.
Participation is free of charge and open to all.
This summer’s Summit will strengthen connections between young leaders and their networks, spark momentum for youth movements at the intersection of nature and climate justice, provide a space for artistic creation and performance utilizing the outdoors and the Appalachian Trail as a muse.
The virtual space opens the opportunity for greater inclusivity, and we hope that young people from across the nation and around the world will participate in capacity-building workshops, networking events, and contribute to creating outcomes like equity maps and a virtual art exhibit.
Stay tuned for special speakers to be announced and session descriptions including career development (i.e. resume writing, successful interviewing, and networking opportunities with representatives from conservation careers), non-violent communication, equity maps, GIS, story mapping, spoken word, and other forms of creative expression.
Looking for ways to get more involved with the Summit? We are also looking to fill multiple Summit Ambassador roles to assist with participant outreach and moderating the event. Visit appalachiantrail.org/summitambassador for more information
