Remains Found near A.T. Identified as Missing Maryland Man

On April 2, the remains of John Patrick Donohoe of Bethesda, Maryland, were found near the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) in Warren County, Virginia. Mr. Donohoe had been reported missing since December 13, 2016. Our sincere condolences go out to the family and friends of the deceased.

The cause of death is currently under investigation — anyone with information regarding the disappearance or death of Mr. Donohoe is asked to call Investigator Brad Pugh, Warren County Sheriff’s Office, at 540.635.4128.

    Yes, she was found dead in her tent.  She had left a "diary" of sorts.  Planes went overhead just couldn't see her in dense woods.  Sad.

    Was the woman traveling the trail by herself and was going to be met by her family ever found or is there any updates about her disappearance?
