Join us for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy's annual Family Hiking Day on Saturday, September 28, 2019.
Native or Invasive? – Examine the flora of the Appalachian Trail with expert guidance from local botanist Andrew Rohrbaugh while taking an easy stroll along our beautiful Trail.
ATC's Family Hiking Day is a great opportunity to get outdoors with the whole family. Take a hike together or try different hikes and compare notes later. Then join us for our Family Hiking Day Celebration at Children's Lake in Boiling Springs. We'll have hikes, outdoor activities for kids, and a special visit from Smokey Bear! Celebration activities kick off at 9:00 am and end at 2:00 pm.
This activity, Native or Invasive? includes a 4-mile stroll along the Appalachian Trail in Carlisle. Although it is free, space is limited. Please sign up here. Deadline to register is 9/25.
