Join the Maine Appalachian Trail Club
on Saturday, June 15
and help make repairs to the Hall Mt. Shelter. Work will include digging out the decomposing wooden sill that the shelter currently sits on and planning ways to replace it later in the summer.
Shelters are iconic along the Appalachian Trail and they provide hikers of all kinds a place to sleep at night. Ensuring that these structures last for future generation requires a lot of hard work from volunteers like you.
Please be sure to wear long pants and sturdy boots. Bring plenty of water and snacks, a lunch, sunscreen, bug spray, and a rain jacket.
Advanced registration necessary; fill out the form below in registering for this event.
