Join the Massachusetts A.T. Committee of the Appalachian Mountain Clubs Berkshire Chapter on Saturday, May 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and spend the day repairing two sections of the Hop Brook boardwalk.
As Hop Brook changes the path that it flows it is crucial to adjust and repair the boardwalk as it enables visitors to walk over it mud free. This protects the natural resource and promotes the second Leave No Trace (LNT) principle of traveling and camping on durable surfaces. Prepared to get dirty? (There are also other ways to contribute if mud doesn’t look good on you.)
Be sure to wear long pants, sturdy shoes. Also be sure to bring, sunscreen, bug spray, snacks/lunch to eat on the Trail, and plenty of water for the day.
Advanced registration necessary; please use the form below in registering for this event.
