Join the club in this opportunity to give back to this iconic resource by working alongside dedicated volunteers.

Volunteers are invited to camp out on Friday and Saturday night at the base camp at the Sherando Lake Recreation Area, a US Forest Service Campground. Participants may arrive as early as noon on Friday and set up camp at the Williams Branch Picnic Area. The gate will lock at 10 pm and will open again at 6 am Saturday morning. The work will begin at 7:45 am on Saturday. The club will provide dinner Saturday night, but participants must bring their own food for the rest of the trip.

Participants should bring their own plate, bowl and utensils (including for dinner on Saturday), camping equipment, supportive ankle-high boots, leather gloves, a jacket, rain gear, sun protection, a long-sleeve shirt, long pants, lunch and snacks, 1-2 quarts of water, and a good pack. The club will provide tools, a hard hat, and safety glasses.
