Join Georgia Appalachian Trail Club as they work to maintain their section of the A.T. on their regular third Saturday of the month work trip. This work trip is led by Lawson Herron and will take place on the Appalachian Trail from Woody Gap to Jarrard Gap.
The work trip goals are to remove roots on the Trail, blocking braided Trail locations to prevent erosion and degradation, repairing foot logs at Lance Creek, and rehabilitating tent pads at the camping area. Learn new skills and work alongside devoted volunteers to make a positive difference for everyone who enjoys this iconic resource.
Participants should wear long pants and sturdy boots. Participants should bring sun protection, bug repellant, lunch, water for the day, lunch, snacks, and work gloves.
Please fill out this form to register your participation. The work trip leader will contact you with the specific meeting location and times for the event.
