On Wednesday, June 13, from 9 a.m to 3 p.m join the Connecticut Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC-CT) and spend the day giving back to the first National Scenic Trail, the Appalachian Trail - known to those who travel it as paradise. For the work-trip though, work actually will be near Paradise Lane Group Campsite.
Work will include repainting trail blazes, brushing back overgrown vegetation , and instal directional signage near the campsite.Wear sturdy boots, long pants and work gloves. Please be sure to bring your own lunch, personal snacks,water, insect repellent, rain jacket, as well as hand loppers or pruners if you have them. New volunteers welcome; training and tools will be provided.
Meet at the Undermountain Trailhead off of RT. 41 in Salisbury, CT.
